About this trailer

By law​,​ every trailer over a 2t maximum capacity must have electric brakes and any car towing it must be fitted with an electric brake controller (EBC) - a brand such as Bendix​,​ ElecBrakes or REDARC for example. This is so that when you apply the brakes in the car​,​ the electric brakes are applied on the trailer. Most hard-wired systems have a small dial third-party dial attached somewhere on the dashboard​,​ which you can adjust from 1-10 to alter the sensitivity of the brakes - depending on how heavily loaded the trailer is. If you need to tow over 2t but your car is not fitted with an electric brake controller​,​ then you need a portable electric brake controller (EBC)! The trailer-mounted unit is plug and play and can be used on any trailer and any car​,​ All you need to do is plug the patch harness in between your existing 7 or 12-pin trailer plugs and you're ready to go. The module does not need to be hard-mounted and can be easily attached to the trailer drawbar for a temporary time period.
