Although a similar size​,​ car trailers with a much smaller 2T rating can only carry very small cars as the trailer weight of c800kg means you can only carry cars with a max weight of 1200kg. TRAILER ACCESSORIES $50 - portable electric brake controller (EBC) $10 - light connection adaptor $10 - towbar ​/​ towball $10 - chocks $10 - lock For safety reasons​,​ if your car is not fitted with an electric brake controller (EBC) such as Bendix​,​ ElecBrakes or RedArc you will need to hire our portable one - it's the law. If you're not sure if you have one fitted​,​ there will be a 1-10 dial or similar somewhere on your dashboard that lets you adjust the level the brakes are set at. All trailers with a max load capacity over 2 tonnes have electric brakes and both yours and our insurance is invalid if the tow vehicle cannot engage them. You would also be in a heap of trouble with the police if you had an accident - regardless of fault - when they realised you did not have an EBC. PLEASE NOTE A $200 bond ​/​ deposit by cash or transfer is required at collection for all hires and will be returned to you at the end of the hire.
